Dear God, we know we easily fall into discrimination and favoring those we perceive to be of higher status, even in our churches. Help us to remember that your son, Jesus, whom we love and revere, was born to a humble family and lived a life of poverty. May we treat those who are disadvantaged, oppressed, and marginalized in our church and our community as he did. In Jesus' name. Amen.
